News from 2008
19th December 2008
Well, it's almost the end of the year and the end of our first six months trading as a CopterX supplier. We have done out best to help our loyal fans to keep in the air and provide the best service we can in our spare time.
Our stocks are running low at the end of this year but they will be completely replenished in the first week of the next year. We was hoping that the UK pound would regain it's exchange rate against the dollar but it looks like this will not be happening anytime soon.
We are looking forward to the new year, new stock and some of the more exciting CopterX range in stock. We will keep you posted.
Have a good Xmas and New Year from CopterX (uk).
3rd October 2008
Wow! It's been a real rush over the last month!
Firstly, this must have been our most busy month so far. It has left us
with very limited stock and has caught us on the hop as far as stock levels go.
But do not panic; new stock is currently in transit and should be available
in the shop by around the 12th of October.
But, what if you can't wait that long for that vital CopterX bit?
We have been offering (only to people that get in touch) a service where we will
ALWAYS have that vital part to get you in the air again asap. If we do not have
the part you require in stock for immmediate despatch we will gladly take the
part you require off a pre-built CopterX just to make sure you get your part and
continue flying.
The part you receive will be a brand new part, albeit one that has already been
installed onto a heli. You do not get any fancy packaging but it will be the
exact part you require and the cost will be about 3/4 of the sales price.
So, if you need a part and we are out of stock, please get in touch - we know
how frustrating it is not to be able to fly :)
Rotor Blades. Further to our previous posting (see below), CopterX has confirmed
there is a problem with the Carbon Style blades - if you have any of these them
please THROW THEM AWAY, they will FAIL by breaking apart. We have contacted all
our customers and refunded/replaced these blades - if you have bought these from
other suppliers please get in touch with them.
The CopterX wooden blades are ok. It would appear that the batch we got were
just a bad batch; again, we have been in touch will everyone who has bought
these from this site and made alternative arrangements for them.
One final thought; a BIG thanks to everyone who has visited, contacted us
and bought from the shop. Thanks for all your support and with all your comments
and suggestions we will try to improve the little things as we go on.
We are not a large company and both of us that run the site have full time jobs
inbetween running the site and supplying your parts.

We have a problem folks! Don't panic! it's just a small problem :)
Product: CX450-06-01 - Wooden Main Blades
We have a number of these blades in stock, it doesn't look like any
of them will actually fit the CopterX blade holders.
When you try to mate up the blade to the holder it is very obvious
that the root of the blade is too tight in the holder. I tried
sanding some down and it works to a point - but come on; you shouldn't
need to do this kind of activity to put a pair of blades on!
Product: CX450-06-08 - Carbon Style Blades
Unlike the wooden blades, these blades do fit inside the blades holders.
But.... we have a number of pairs of these blades and upon examination
we have found they are not as good as they look!
When you examine a these blades closely you can see the leading edge
of the blade is not very smooth, there are obvious irregularities
along the edge where the top layer meets the bottom.
These are only small defects with this blade set and at the price of the
blade you can't really complain; it all depends on your requirements
and skill level - as a beginner blade set these are probably fine.
In light of the above we are currently in the process of finding
alternatives to the standard CopterX blades. We will post here when
the alternative selection(s) are available.
CopterX.com
I have sent an email to CopterX.com about the above issues and will
publish what they have to say in due course.

Thanks to everyone (including the spammers) that subscribed to
our newsletter.
The first issue is available online but
didn't get sent out to anyone due to our lack of input to the content. The second
issue will be sent out to subscribers at the start of September 2008. It will be
available online via our docs section under newsletter - issue 2.
20th August 2008
And once again, the shop is now restocked with almost every part.
Unfortunately, if you are looking for a CopterX main shaft then I'm sorry to say that we are currently out of stock of this item. We are expecting the next batch of main shafts to come into the shop in the first week of September.
8th August 2008
Thanks to everyone for their support by visiting the site and purchasing CopterX helicopters and parts. We have been open for three weeks and our stock levels have obviously gone down. Some items we thought might sell well, didn't, and some other items we just plainly didn't buy enough!
The shop will be fully restocked early next week and we will carry more than double the quantities of popular items. Our aim is never to run out of any part, but you will have to bare with us for a few weeks while we find our feet with re-order quantities :)
As a final note; we have reduced our prices! We have found some time to work out our actual costs for each product and we have found a margin that we can reduce the prices. We hope you will find our new pricing structure more agreeable.
14th July 2008
From Monday the 14th July, we are now officially open and ready to take your order.
12th July 2008
We have now had a delivery of stock from our suppliers and we are in the process of getting the stock onto the system. We expect the shop to be operational by Sunday evening or very shortly after.
For the customers that have pre-booked items, your orders will be shipped on Tuesday and should be with you on Wednesday next week.
Thanks to everyone for their support and interest in this exciting heli.
